Levenhuk Rainbow 2L Amethyst Microscope is the easiest way to make the learning process truly entertaining. With this microscope, children can study houseplants in detail, find out what lives in a drop of water, and discover how paper currency is different from copybook sheet paper – as well as many other interesting things. The microscope comes with everything needed for conducting first biological experiments. The bright and stylish design of this model will add more colors to the interior of the children’s room. But what’s even more important – it won’t be just an interior detail, but a favorite instrument for education and fun.
Optics of high quality
Optical elements are made of special highly transparent glass. To make images even clearer and sharper the lenses are covered with several layers of anti-reflective coating. Three objectives supplied with this model provide for wide magnification range of 40-400x. All you need to do to change the magnification is turn the revolving nosepiece.
Wide choice of observed samples
As most entry-level biological microscopes, Levenhuk Rainbow 2L Amethyst Microscope is perfect for observing transparent samples – you can study, for instance, a thin slice of a houseplant or a housefly’s limb. To start the observation, place the sample on the microscope’s stage, secure it with stage clips and turn on lower illumination. But it doesn’t stop there! Thanks to upper illumination source, you can observe opaque objects such as coins and fabrics as well. The microscope is also suitable for observing a semitransparent sample – just turn both illuminations on. Illumination brightness is easily adjustable, which allows you to set the optimal level of illumination for any given sample.
Ergonomic design
The microscope’s body is made of plastic, so while being quite sturdy it weighs a lot less than a metal one, which makes the microscope easily transportable. For additional comfort during observations, the microscope’s head is inclined at 45°. The device can be powered by an electrical outlet (convenient at home and at school) or by batteries (great for outdoor observations).
Caution: Please refer to the specifications table for the correct mains voltage and never attempt to plug a 110V device into 220V outlet and vice versa without using a converter. Remember that mains voltage in the U.S. and Canada is 110V and 220-240V in most European countries.
Entertaining experiments
The microscope comes with Levenhuk K50 Experiment Kit, which includes everything needed to carry out interesting experiments with the microscope – you can start with observing prepared slides supplied in the kit and then move on to creating your own microscope slides with the instruments provided! A colorful guide included in the kit will help you with that. The guide includes information on the microscope’s construction, useful tips and descriptions of experiments.
