See Levenhuk Rainbow Microscopes in action
High quality, reliable and stylish, the Levenhuk Rainbow 50L Orange Microscope makes an excellent gift for anyone keen on biology. The microscope will not only make it easier to study biology, but it will also allow for many interesting discoveries outside the classroom. Levenhuk Rainbow 50L Orange comes with an experiment kit perfect for an introduction to the microworld. The bright orange body of the microscope is beautiful and eye-catching – this instrument will never sit idly on the table.
Barlow lens included in the kit
Three objectives included in the kit allow for producing 40x, 100x and 400x magnification power. Besides objectives, the kit also includes high-quality 2x Barlow lens, which doubles the magnification provided with each objective lens. This way, the highest magnification power of the microscope out of the box is 800x!
The optics are made of highly transparent glass. The lenses are also covered with multilayer coating; that’s why produced images are guaranteed to be bright, contrast and highly detailed.
The ability to study transparent and opaque samples
The microscope is distinguished by two built-in LED illuminations. To watch the life of aquarium crustaceans or see blood cells or study other transparent samples, use lower illumination. The upper illumination source allows working with non-transparent objects such as paper, metal, fabric and others. It’s also possible to observe semi-transparent samples by turning both illuminations on. The brightness adjustment mechanism is very convenient – by using it you can easily set the illumination level that is optimal for the given sample.
Smart design
The microscope’s body is made of light and long-lasting plastic. In order to prevent discomfort and fatigue during observations, the head is inclined at 45°. The head can be rotated 360° around its axis – you don’t have to move the microscope when working in a group. The instrument can be powered by an electric outlet, but it’s not tied to that as it can also run on batteries.
Caution: Please refer to the specifications table for the correct mains voltage and never attempt to plug a 110V device into 220V outlet and vice versa without using a converter. Remember that mains voltage in the U.S. and Canada is 110V and 220-240V in most European countries.
Independent experiments with microscope
The microscope comes with an extensive experiment kit, which includes prepared microscope slides as well as everything needed for making your own slides to observe. A practical user guide included in the kit will provide you with all required information on the microscope’s construction, working with the instrument and conducting various experiments.
Case for storage and transportation
To prevent the microscope, its parts and accessories from being lost or damaged during transportation, the kit includes a handy and reliable plastic case.
